Derrick Rose is signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers

According to Shams Charania of The Vertical, Derrick Rose is set to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers:

Big time ring-chasing move from Rose here, although with the news of Kyrie Irving's unrest in Cleveland it could be a terrific opportunity for him on two fronts. Playing with LeBron James gives Rose a shot at a championship, but beyond that if Kyrie is in fact shipped out of town it would create a great way for him to showcase himself playing deep into the playoffs at the highest level.

Obviously the market around the NBA for Rose couldn't have been so great if he's taking a 1-year $2.1 million deal, although joining a contender was probably near the top of his wish list because who knows how much longer those rickety knees will hold up. This has gotta be best case scenarios for the Cavs if they can't straighten out things with Irving going forward. Now with another very capable point guard in tow they can perhaps try to trade Kyrie to fill other needs.

Apparently LeBron was a key cog in getting Rose to Cleveland:

Of course LeBron gets all the credit.
