Report: Rajon Rondo released by Chicago
ESPN's Marc Stein reports the Chicago Bulls have released former Boston Celtic Rajon Rondo.
This is not a huge surprise given the unguaranteed nature of Rondo's contract (only $3 million of his $13 million-dollar deal was guaranteed), the looming free agency period, the shift to a rebuild after moving on from Jimmy Butler and the addition of Kris Dunn, adding to the glut of competent point guards on the market. Rondo will likely sign quickly with a team in need of a floor general without much in the way of cap space to land one.

The Bulls aren't involved in the Milos Teodosic talks, per source. This is a rebuild. All about the young players.— K.C. Johnson (@KCJHoop) June 30, 2017
