Paul George very complimentary of Celtics chemistry

The Celtics were of course one of several teams that tried to unsuccessfully pry Paul George away from Larry Bird and the Pacers at the trade deadline. Ainge will almost undoubtedly revisit those talks both before and after this June's draft in the offseason.

TD Garden fans also provided some cheers for Paul George during starting line-up introductions Wednesday night.

[Paul George] was asked afterward about how the fans received him and his future with the Pacers.
“Yeah, I guess they were in on the rumors,” George said of how fans received him at TD Garden.

The cheers might have been louder, but fans might have been gun shy after Jae Crowder caused a stir when he lashed out after some fans cheered Gordon Hayward during intros when the Jazz were in town earlier in the season. A trade for George is complicated due to his reported desire to go back home and play for the Lakers if he doesn't re-sign with the Pacers.
