Report - Kevin Love out at least six weeks with knee surgery

The outlook for the number one seed in the East just got a whole lot fuzzier today.

On the same day the Toronto Raptors fortified their playoff aspirations by adding Serge Ibaka, NBA.com reports that Cleveland Cavaliers big man Kevin Love will miss at least six weeks after successfully completing arthroscopic surgery on his knee, potentially throwing the race for for the top seed wide open, a pair of events almost certainly related. Love, currently in his ninth season, has been averaging close to 20 points and eleven boards per game this season and is a key component of the Cavaliers' starting unit.

It remains unclear if this will put more pressure on the Cavaliers to make a move, given recent high profile grumblings from LeBron James and the fact that Love should be back before the playoffs; stay tuned to this developing story.
