The Celtics released this short video documenting Isaiah's trip to the NBA lottery. He got so close to bringing us back a top 2 pick, but in the end at least we didn't fall back this time. The #3 spot isn't a bad place to be in. You 100% know who's going #1 and #2, so you can basically pick your guy at #3 without worrying about someone swooping in and stealing him. Also, if you aren't enamored with the #3 pick, some team in the lottery will be, so you could trade down a spot or two and still get a comparable talent.

Most fans are going to want to trade the pick, but I'm not sure if that is the most prudent decision. The Kings aren't trading Cousins. And the Bulls would likely want the #3 pick + Marcus Smart + Jae Crowder for Jimmy Butler. That's a steep price. There's comes a time when Danny needs to hit a home run on a draft pick. Teams do it throughout the draft. I mean even Jimmy Butler was there when Ainge drafted JaJuan Johnson. So now is the time for Ainge to try out all the prospects in the draft and determine who is the best after the Big 2 and then draft him. The nice thing is we'll have a representative back at the Lottery next Spring after another bottom feeding season by the Nets.
