Jae Crowder misses practice, questionable for Tuesday vs Knicks

Jae Crowder did not have a great game Sunday night against the Magic. He finished with 5 points and 3 rebounds, and was not as much of a factor on the defensive end as he usually is. Initially thought to just be an off night for the rapidly improving small forward, it now looks like Crowder is a little banged up.

Whether it's a bruised shin or a muscle strain, it's significant enough to cloud his status for tomorrow night's game at Madison Square Garden. Hopefully Crowder suits up, but if he is to miss the game it will be interesting to see if that opens up minutes for James Young or RJ Hunter. Could Marcus Smart make his return to the starting lineup? Or will Brad Stevens will just play Evan Turner wire to wire? Let's hope we don't have to even find out the answer to that.

We'll update Crowder's status prior to game time tomorrow night.
