Celtics go for 10th straight home win in battle with Heat for East's No. 3 spot

There's a fairly big game on tap at the TD Garden this afternoon, as the 34-25 Celtics take on the 32-25 Heat at 3 pm.  The C's haven't lost at home since January 6, and will try for their 10th straight victory in Boston.  It's the longest home winning streak for the Celtics since they won 11 in a row at the Garden from January 27 through March 16 of 2013.

A Miami win would put the Heat back in third place in the Eastern Conference, percentage points ahead of Boston.  However, a Celtics victory would give them a two-game lead for the No. 3 spot in the East with nearly 75 percent of the regular season completed (60 of 82 games).

The Celtics beat the Heat 105-95 in Miami back on November 30.  A win today would clinch the season series for Boston and a potential tiebreaker in the playoffs.
