The Celtics defeated the Heat tonight. With the Heat coming into the game sporting a 10-5 record, I expected to see some misplaced arrogance and some delusional talk about winning the East on the Heat message boards. Instead I found a bunch of miserable fans wallowing in sadness. Way, way darker over there than I anticipated. All the vitriol was directed at their own guys. Before spending some QT with their fans on the Net I was genuinely concerned about the Heat this year, but judging how much their own fans hate their team I now am loaded with confidence that the Celtics will surpass them in the East.
