Vitor Faverani to workout for Knicks and Wolves as he attempts NBA comeback

Fab Melo is not the only former Celtics center trying to make a comeback. El Hombre Indestructible is going to workout for a couple NBA teams as well.

In hopes of making an NBA return, former Boston Celtics center Vitor Faverani will reportedly work out for the Minnesota Timberwolves and New York Knicks this offseason.

When last we saw Vitor, he was being waived to make room for all the new bodies coming from Dallas in the Rondo trade. Prior to that there were his injuries and a mysterious possible DUI over last Summer. Vitor was very impressive for the first month of his Celtics career back in 2013, but whether due to injuries or other reasons he was not able to sustain it. He's a rim protecting, legit center, so if he's healthy and he wants to play in the NBA, expect some team to sign him this upcoming season.

It appears the Celtics are not interested in bringing him back as there has been no mention of a reunion. The C's were not allowed to re-sign him for the remainder of the 2014-2015 season (Gary Payton rule), but this Summer they are clear to if they so desire.

Do you think Faverani has an NBA future? Would you want him back on the Celtics?
