Avery Bradley ruled out for New Orleans game

The Celtics fight to make the playoffs took a hit Thursday as the team announced that guard Avery Bradley will be out for tonight's game in New Orleans, with an elbow injury:

Bradley suffered the injury in the first half of Wednesday's win against Utah.

Losing Bradley for an extended time could really hurt the C's who are just two games back of the Charlotte Hornets for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The 5th-year guard is averaging 13.9 points per game this season and has appeared in all but one of the C's 59 games. The team starts a 3-game road trip tonight, with stops in Orlando (Sunday) and Miami (Monday).

There has been no word yet on whether Bradley will be available for the games in the Sunshine State.

UPDATE:

Well that's a bummer. Get well soon Avery!
