Marcus Smart and James Young show first glimpse of the future


Last night in the Celtics 104-100 win over Denver, Marcus Smart got his second straight start and logged a career-high 41 minutes of action.  Fellow rookie James Young played a career-high 20 minutes as well.  For the first time in their brief NBA lives, we got to see Smart and Young on the floor together for significant burn.

With 10:26 remaining in the second quarter the two combined on this emphatic fast break dunk:



Sitting in the Garden, my first thought when I saw this play was "the future is here."

In Back to the Future Part II, the date Doc Brown and Marty McFly jump ahead to is October 21, 2015.  Who knows, maybe next season Smart and Young will be wearing these:
