Los Angeles Clippers sale closes

"Our long national nightmare is over," has become a very popular blogosphere go-to phrase over the last 18 months or so... but our long national nightmare is over. Steve Ballmer is now in charge and hopefully LAC can return to business as usual, or at least as much normalcy as is allowed in the sometimes cartoonish world of the NBA.

The Sterling case was a legitimate nightmare. One that will still rage on when and where it can over the next few months despite the swift and definitive verdicts that have been handed down from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, the NBA Board of Governors, now the California court system. While this probably won't be the last we hear about Donald Sterling, news going forward will be closer to epilogue than another chapter or heaven forbid, a sequel.

Checkmate, Donnie.
