Kelly Olynyk injury confirmed, appears to be minor

According to ESPN Boston's Chris Forsberg, Kelly Olynyk "downplayed concerns" about the recent wrist injury he suffered while practicing for Team Canada. Despite remaining "coy" about the injury, Olynyk confirmed the fan report (@jesusaraujo33) that we posted.

"It'll be alright," said Olynyk, who was not wearing a brace for his injury. When told that even minor injuries can be big stories in Boston, the 23-year-old quipped, "It's not career ending."

The injury did come on his shooting (right) wrist. As MassLive.com'sJay King notes, the big fella still has about a month and a half to nurse his wrist before training camp. Of course, hopefully Olynyk will come into camp at 100%.
