Ray Allen leaning towards joining LeBron James in Cleveland

Ohio's NBA franchise might need to rename itself the "Cleveland Heat." Many of LeBron James' former Miami teammates are opting to follow him to the Cavaliers -- Mike Miller and James Jones signed with the Cavs last week, and now it looks like another 3 point sharp shooter could be joining them in Northern Ohio. The Boston Globe's Gary Washburn is reporting that former Celtic Ray Allen might be taking his talents to Cleveland as opposed to retiring:

Ray Allen told reporters in June that retirement was an option he was considering
, but it appears as though the chance at possibly earning another ring will keep him in the game. The Cavs recently acquired the non-guaranteed contracts of John Lucas, Malcolm Thomas, and Erik Murphy to help facilitate a Kevin Love trade, so while their roster is overflowing at the moment, they will most likely be trimming these players and would have room for the 3 Point King.

According to ESPN, Mike Miller has been actively recruiting Ray to join him in Cleveland:

Former Heat forward Mike Miller, who like James joined the Cavs on a two-year deal, said last week he was making a recruiting effort to lure Allen to the Cavaliers, pointing to the veteran as the kind of player that would help Cleveland in key spots in the playoffs.

I hope these guys enjoy the Cleveland lifestyle...
