76ers defeat Celtics 111-102 behind 24 from Michael Carter Williams

The Philadelphia 76ers jumped on the Boston Celtics early tonight leading 23-15 after the first period of play.

Boston responded by outscoring Philadelphia in the second and taking a 51-49 lead into halftime. Boston was paced by Jerryd Bayless who had 18 bolstered by 4-7 from three point range and Rajon Rondo who had eight rebounds and eight assists in the half.

Michael Carter Williams had 14 for Philadelphia.

Philadelphia started the second half like they did the first outscoring Boston 11-5 to start taking a four point lead 60-56.

When the quarter ended Philly maintained a 76-71 lead and Rajon Rondo was one rebound short of a triple double.

Boston could never close the gap in the fourth and ended up losing 111-102 behind 24 from likely Rookie of the Year: Michael Carter Williams.

Rajon Rondo finished with a triple double for Boston but also had seven turnovers.

Rondo has a total of 20 turnovers in the last three games for which he's dressed.
