The Boston Celtics fall to the Brooklyn Nets 114 to 98 tonight at the Barclays Center. Brooklyn wore those hideous sleeved jerseys, god I hate those. The NBA needs to stop trying to make sleeves happen, THEY’RE NOT GONNA HAPPEN. The Celtics did hang with the Nets through the first three quarters, but faded down the stretch. The Nets talent proved to be too much for the C’s and it was garbage time pretty much the entire fourth quarter.

The first half was a back and forth game, but thank god we had Avery Bradley or else it wouldn’t have been. He sustained his hot shooting and was lights out, but it almost wasn’t as he rolled his ankle on a jump shot early in the 1st. He returned later in the quarter and was straight money. The Nets dominated the paint early and often, getting easy buckets with good ball movement. Pierce looked like the Pierce of old, with his step back jumpers falling tonight.

The leading scorer for the Celtics was Bradley putting the team on his back, shooting 12 of 19 for 28 points. Rondo also played pretty well notching a double-double with 12 points and 12 assists. Joe Johnson led the Nets in scoring with 27 points, and the Truth chipped in nicely with 14 points. PS. I still miss Paul Pierce…

The Celtics look to get back after it next Wednesday at the TD Garden for the first of a home and home versus the Raptors at 7:30.
