Gerald Wallace won't seek a buy-out from atrocious contract

Celtics fans all over the world groan simultaneously, as it’s being reported that Gerald Wallace won’t be seeking a buyout from the C’s. I’m sure Gerald would love to be in a more winning situation, he’s a shell of his former all-star self but it’s clear he can help a basketball team with his defense and knowledge.

That contract though is disgusting, basically the poster-boy for dumb NBA contracts. Simmons ranked it the second worst contract in the league, it will fatten Gerald’s wallet $10.1 million this season, $10.1 million next season, and $10.1 million in 2015-16. What a joke… thankfully Gerald provided us with some insight, besides the 30.3 million reasons why to not ask for a buy-out:

“My mom said never complain about the situation you’re in,” Wallace told CSNNE.com. “You can’t control it. It’s nothing I can do about it. I just have to take it in stride and move forward.”
“That ain’t my thing,” Wallace said when asked about buyouts. “My thing is wherever I’m at, I’m gonna play and make the best of the situation and hopefully something changes or something. If not, I’m satisfied with the situation that I’m in.”
Wait I’m confused, wasn’t this the same guy that was complaining about losing and throwing teammates under the bus? Oh right it is. Isn’t this the same guy that often looks disinterested on the court, even taking off his headband and arm sleeves with seconds left despite the game not being over? Oh right it is… interesting.

Despite what he says, I think all of Green Nation knows the real reason why he’s not asking for a buyout:
