As expected, Glen "Big Baby" Davis signs with the Clippers, Jason Collins with the Nets

Both the Los Angeles Clippers and Brooklyn Nets showed interest in former Celtic Glen Davis after he was bought out by Orlando a few days ago, but today, Davis decided to reunite with former coach Doc Rivers instead of with former teammates Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce.

After Big Baby committed to the Clippers, the Nets moved onto sign another former Celtic big, Jason Collins, to a 10-day contract, making Collins the first openly gay NBA athlete.

From Yahoo Sports:

Jason Collins has reached agreement on a 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets, clearing the way for the  first openly gay athlete in major professional sports history, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Collins will be signed and available to play on Sunday when the Nets meet the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center, sources told Yahoo.

After Glen "Big Baby" Davis decided to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, the Nets moved onto Plan B – bringing Collins back into the NBA, sources said.
