Celtics take on a more than struggling Cleveland team at home today

A month ago when the Celtics took on the Cavaliers at home they cruised to a 103-86 victory behind 31 points from Jeff Green and 11-23 shooting as a team from 3 point range.

Since that game The Celtics are 5-6 with a current three game losing streak including two losses at home to the Pistons and the Wizards.

Immediately after that game the Cavs got hot winning 5 of 6 with two nice home wins over the Western Conference's Nuggets and Clippers.

They are 1-5 in their last six however including a heartbreaking double overtime loss at home vs. Atlanta in double overtime on Thursday.

As of late the one bright spot for Cleveland has been Kyrie Irving. In his last eight games he's scored over 30 four times including a 40 point performance in a point guard duel with Jeff Teague in the Atlanta game.

During this stretch Kyrie is shooting close to 50% from the floor and just under 40% from deep. He has also averaged 7 assists a game in that span.

Unfortunately, Andrew Bynum has been playing HORRIBLY the last eight games averaging a meager 6.6 points which includes an 0-11 performance vs. Detroit on Monday.

My prediction:

The Celtics get back on track today as Avery locks down on Kyrie.

Celtics: 98 Cavaliers: 89
