Lakers owner hospitalized as cancer worsens

Jerry Buss, majority owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, has been hospitalized with an undisclosed form of cancer. Buss, 79, is currently in the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, according to sources.

Buss' son, Jim, had a brief interview with the LA Times on Thursday.
"He's doing fine," Jim told LA Times. "We just aren't going to make any comments on it. We've been dealing with this."
It's been about a year since Buss was diagnosed with cancer, but it is still not leaked to the pubic/media what  specific type of cancer Buss is dealing with. Former Lakers Shaquille O'Neal, Kareem Abdul-Jabber, Magic Johnson - and current Lakers Kobe Bryant & Pau Gasol have each visited Buss since he had been diagnosed last year.

You can read more on this story here, as well as other sources around the web. My prayers go out to the Lakers and the Buss family as they go through this tough time.
