All About 18: Jason Terry

If there’s anyone among the Boston newcomers who’s embraced the Celtic Mystique quickly, it’s Jason Terry.  The Jet’s been on sonic speed since joining the C’s last July – proudly trotting around Boston in Celtic Green shirts and displaying brand new ink with the leprechaun and a bold guarantee for #18 on his arm.  He’s even vowed to “kill” the franchise’s most hated enemies.  The way the Jet’s been talking the Celtic talk, it seems as though he’s been walking the Celtic walk for years.

“If I looked at our team and what they accomplished last year, they’re one game away.  They’re one game away from going back to the NBA Finals, and I think they win it,” Terry said in a local Boston TV interview.  “This year, put a little ‘Jet Fuel’ into the mix, and I think we have the team.”

He added in the Herald: “Where I’m at right now in my career, it’s about winning championships, and I got the taste (with Dallas).  They let me taste it.  They should’ve never let me taste it.  And I got one, but as you know, the Celtics, they’re going for No. 18.  And so I’m a big basketball fanatic.  I’m a historian.  I love the game, a student of the game.  So I know what it means to put that uniform on.  So I think we’ve got a good opportunity this year to win again.”

Couldn’t have said it any better ourselves.  Jet Propulsion.  Powering the C’s drive for #18.
