Semih "Turkish Thunder" Erden leaves the USA

We all remember that fateful day in February 2011 when Semih Erden and some other players were traded from the Boston Celtics. Semih wound up with the Cleveland Cavaliers and likely continued his dominating Turkish madness in the midwest, sending Turkish tornadoes through every defender and choosing, not to shoot his free throws, but to dunk them with Turkish ferocity.

Semih has had a long journey in the NBA, from being selected by the Celtics with the very last pick in the 2008 draft and then waiting two years before actually joining the team and playing alongside Hall of Famers like Shaquille O'Neal, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce and then being traded months later to the wonderful city of Cleveland.

Semih was offered a qualifying offer by the Cavaliers, however he informed Cleveland that he would be taking his talents to Istanbul.

We'll miss you.
