Brandon Bass would "love" to be back in Boston next season

WEEI
Bass said he hasn't thought too much about the future but he also made it clear that he wants to return.

"I do," he said when asked if he thought he would be back. "I would love to be back here. The fans here are unbelievable. For any player, this organization is the organization that you want to play for."

Bass added, "This group here was like family. For the first time in a long time it felt like family. We had fights, we had ups, we had downs but at the end of the day we fought for each other. I’m just grateful to be a part of this group."

"This group of guys, this team has been great to be a part of," he said. "We fought through so many different things. Teammates going down, injuries, we continued to fight. I’d say I love these guys. It was just a great experience being a part of this group."

Would love to have Bass back, depending on the contract terms. Essentially that will be the case with KG, Ray, Bass, and Jeff Green. Look you can't sign them all back and then add another star. If you think KG or Ray will play for the minimum then you're dreaming. Off the top of my head, KG will probably cost about $11 million a year and Ray you might be able to get for $6 million a year. They'll get bigger offers from other teams, but I think they'd sign for those deals (My guess is that Ray Allen has played his final game as a Celtic and that KG will likely be back). Brandon Bass and Jeff Green will probably want about $7 million a year each themselves.

Add that $29 million to the payroll which already pays Pierce and Rondo big money and you're back over the cap. Just saying this so people don't get their expectations up. It's either bring the gang all back or let key guys go in order to "try" and add another young star.
