Celtics and Hornets had agreed to trade for CP3?

Our names Peter Vecsey! We're reporting this!
New York Post:
How many believe a reporter fantasized the threesome involving the Celtics, Hornets and Pacers, whose $23 million in cap space make them a critically desirable partner?

Well, according to one pretty piped-in informer, it was a done deal until CP3 Knixed it by refusing to sign an extension.

If nothing else, if true, this tells us that Danny Ainge atleast tried to trade for Chris Paul. However, if Chris Paul not wanting to sign an extension crushed the deal then that would mean the Celtics chances of landing him are not looking good. Though, of course, we have heard that before. See: KG. Still, I think the Celtics are pretty much out of the running for Chris Paul, which is why Danny said that he did not anticipate trading Rondo. The Hornets would rather get Stephen Curry or Eric Gordon in return for Paul.
