Quantcast

Doesn't take the sting out of today's unsettling NBA news, but this is very cool. Leon Powe and Kendrick Perkins back in Boston. Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce recruiting Kevin Durant, Josh Smith, and Rudy Gay. Boston's first chance to see JaJuan Johnson in action. Marquis Daniels back from his neck surgery. A chance to show love to Celtics free agents Glen Davis and Jeff Green and a homecoming for former Crimson guard Jeremy Lin. Ok, I think I got everyone... oh yeah and Kyle Lowry gets to get schooled by Rondo. Now someone throw me $100 please. I want courtside seats.

Boston Globe
Just hours after the NBA Players Association decided to disband, Celtics guard Rajon Rondo announced the "Boston Charity Classic" all-star game at 6 p.m. Saturday at Lavietes Pavilion on Harvard's campus. Proceeds, according to the press release, will aid local Boston charities in providing meals for the holiday season.

Tickets will be available on Tuesday at the Harvard Athletics Box office or by phone (617 495 2211). General admission tickets are $50 and courtside is $100

  2. This is going to sell out in minutes... I would have totally gone to this if I had the money available tomorrow morning.

  3. JR says:

Agreed Ryan. That gym holds less than 3000 people. If Rondo guaranteed there wouldn't be an annoying announcer yelling the whole game I'd bite the bullet and buy tickets tomorrow ($ going to charity). Seriously though I expect the phone lines to be busy.

  4. It holds 2,193 people. Whack.

  5. JR says:

Yeah I went to basketball camp there years ago. It's small. One thing about these games this offseason. They've been pretty poorly organized. That said the players aren't getting paid a dime, so they should be commended.

  6. Agreed. I need to find something to do with myself at this point. Hockey and Football just don't do it for me. I might just have to bite the bullet and go watch the University of New Hampshire Basketball team in the next town over.

  7. Anyone who gets to go, let me know how Perk looks!

  8. Ohh fish i missed that one I think I am late to knew this information.

  9. Sean says:
