KG, Pierce, & Rondo Officially Among 14 Named to All-Star Classic

There were a bunch of dropouts announced yesterday including LeBron and his buddies 'Melo and Chris Paul, but Celtics KG, Pierce, and Rondo are all still planning on playing in the All-Star Classic. The first game will be played in Puerto Rico on Sunday.

Organizers say Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and Dwyane Wade are expected to headline an exhibition basketball game in Puerto Rico on Sunday.

According to a press release, the World All-Star Classic also will feature Amare Stoudemire, Blake Griffin, Carlos Boozer, Chris Kaman, Chris Bosh, Dwight Howard, Kevin Garnett, Kevin Love, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo and Tyson Chandler.
This news is via a press release, but it should be noted that there are no guarantees that listed players will play on this tour and even if the games will still take place if the lockout ends this week. Just want to give a warning to Celtics fans in Puerto Rico, England, China, and Australia. If these games do go as scheduled though, how awesome is this for Celtics fans from so far away to get to see these Celtics stars up close? As some of our foreign readers have commented already, it will be a dream come true.
