Celtics Officially Clinch Atlantic Division.

With New York's loss last night against Milwaukee, The Celtics clinched The Atlantic Division title. Obviously this isn't a major goal for a team with Championship aspirations but this is one of the smaller victories that come along the way. This is Boston's 5th time in 10 years finishing number one in the division. All 5 came under Head Coach Doc Rivers, four of them since the arrival of Allen and Garnett.

I doubt there is any celebrating by The Celtics, but that just shows the culture in Boston. In Toronto, New York, or Philadelphia this would be a banner hanging in the rafters.

The Green Team has 14 games left and is statistically favored in 12 of them. Given the teams recent struggles I doubt they go 12-2 to finish the year... but a 11-3 record would give them 60 wins on the season. Just a few interesting numbers to throw around.
