Celtics Come Back to Beat Hornets

Having lost four of their last six games, and trailing the Hornets 56-41 with ten minutes left in the 3rd quarter, the Boston Celtics needed to turn things around.

Cue the Ray Allen and Glen "Big Baby" Davis show. After a pair of treys in less than a minute from the greatest of all-time, Davis canned a pair of jumpers. Follow that with a turnaround jumper from Allen and the C's cut their deficit from 15 to just seven.

Boston outscored New Orleans 27-13 in the frame and eventually prevailed with an 89-85 victory. Allen and Davis tied for a team-high 20 points, while Kevin Garnett chipped in with a dozen points and nine boards.

David West netted 32 in beast mode for the Hornets, connecting on 14-23 attempts. NOH's D-West also tallied eight rebounds. Marco Belinelli added 23, while Chris Paul posted up his worst scoring performance in recent memory. Paul missed all nine of his shots, but recorded 15 assists and seven rebounds.

With the win, Boston improves to 49-19 while the Hornets drop to 40-31. The C's return to action Monday night when they travel to NYC to take on the Knicks. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
