Initially hesitant to throw Jermaine O'Neal back into action so quickly, Celtics coach Doc Rivers is ready to possibly play O'Neal tomorrow night against the Spurs after seeing the 32-year-old big man run successfully through his first practice since arthroscopic knee surgery in January. If Jermaine shows the ability to remain uninjured, he should end up the team's #1 center option. This is a good first step.
"I thought his quickness and his activity [were surprising]," Rivers said. "He didn't surprise me where he didn't pick up some stuff. I don't blame him for that, but I was happy. I was very happy with it."
Rivers said he'll let O'Neal's wind dictate how much he plays.
"I think his lungs will be a good limitation for him," Rivers said. "He'll get tired quickly tomorrow."

Go Jermaine! Don't break a finger nail!
It's good news. He is a very good shot blocker and a defensive upgrade over Nenad and Baby at the Center position. Let's hope he can also add something offensively and...stay healthy! :)
He should've waited until 5 games left to play, so he wouldn't get injured again lol.
this is great! He should start.
Alright baby, time to show what you're worth- neutralize Gasol and Noah!
Anything that moves Krstic down in the rotation and keep him off the floor is positive.
