Nuggets and Nets have tentative Melo deal

RealGM
The Nets and Nuggets reportedly have reached a tentative agreement on a trade that would send Carmelo Anthony to New Jersey.

The deal is pending Anthony's agreement on a long-term contract extension with the Nets.

The trade would send Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Sheldon Williams, Melvin Ely and Renaldo Balkman to New Jersey, with Devin Harris, Derrick Favors, Troy Murphy, Ben Uzoh and four first-round draft picks to Denver.
I'll believe it when I see it, but if you're wondering why Melo would settle on the Nets over the Knicks, there are about 40 million reasons and they're all green.

Update 3:00PM:
Carmelo Anthony says “no meeting at all” is scheduled with the New Jersey Nets.

Speaking Friday at a community service event in south Los Angeles, Anthony says a reported meeting with Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov is “news to me.”

Anthony says: “If I was to meet with that guy (Prokhorov) to be honest I really don’t know what I would say.”
Stay classy Carmelo.
