Poor guy. Scal's said many times that he doesn't like the chants. It's like mocking the fat kid on the court, but in this case it's the red headed pale white guy.

Poor Scal. I want to be his best friend so bad.

  2. Yeah, I hope he didn't think the Boston fans doing it was mocking him. I just think Boston loves him. It's weird that another city's doing it that's insulting.

  3. The Coach says:

Great to see Scal getting some love in Chicago. He was great for the Celtics and is a terrific guy.

might be a nice guy but yeah we did mock him, he sucks.

  5. If you ever went to a Celtics' game when they had Scalabrine then you'd know that the fans weren't mocking him, they loved him. Scal may not be the best athlete, but he actually was a significant part of that championship team, and his basketball IQ is through the roof. Don't be surprised if you see him coaching someday. I wish he was still in Boston, because he's a great guy to have on the sideline in close games, and a great guy to have on the court in the final minutes of blowouts.

I've been to games. if fans wanted to show their love they wouldn't do the chant as he's said repeatedly he doesn't like it. Fans might like him, but the chant is more like you'd do for a mascot. I don't blame Scal for feeling embarrassed and it must definitely make it harder for him to perform the brief time he's on the court.

I hope does Scal comes back as a coach. I've said it before.
