Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers had a plan to sit Rajon Rondo for an eighth straight game.I trust Ed Lacerte on this call and I'm thrilled to see the Celtics quarterback return.
But that all changed moments ago when Rajon Rondo, along with Celtics trainer Ed Lacerte, convinced Rivers to have a change of heart.
"Rondo and Eddie went into my room, and just said he wanted to play," Rivers said. "I talked to Eddie, and he said he should play, just to see what he could do."
Rivers added, "because you don't know. So we're going to see how it goes. If he looks good, I'll keep him out there. If he doesn't, I'll take him right back out."
