Celtics Hold Off Raptors, Remain Unbeaten in Preseason

After coming from a 51-point victory over Phoenix in their first preseason game, you know Toronto's not going to be a pushover, even against the Boston Celtics.

With Boston leading by 15 late in the 2nd quarter and at TD Garden, the Raptors started clawing their way back into the game, tying it at 68 a-piece early in the fourth quarter.

The final moments ended in a see-saw battle with lead changes going back and forth. It wasn't until Nate Robinson (who led his team with 13 points) hit a 3 with a little over two minutes left in the game that the Celtics gained a four point lead (88-84), some breathing space and eventually held off the Raptors, 91-87, to remain unbeaten in the preseason.

Jermaine O'Neal also hit the floor tonight and played for seven and a half minutes. While he wasn't able to score, he did tally 3 blocked shots.

Jarrett Jack had 18 points to lead the scoring charge for the Raptors, who are set to have a rematch with the Cs at Air Canada Centre this October 15.
