Quantcast

There is now less than one month until the Green Team is back on the hardwood. Personally, I don't think there is anything else I'm looking forward to more. After the Red Sox predictably blew their last chance at the postseason last night, I will not be watching baseball until April.

The Pats just escaped the Bills this weekend and can definitely make a run in the playoffs, but I just don't have the same passion for football. I'm excited for the Bruins to start in a couple weeks as well, but nothing compares to the Celtics.

I'm sick of hearing about off the court issues with Shaq, 'Quis, Big Baby, and now Delonte. I'm ready to see what Tony Gaffney and Von Wafer have to offer, and even excited to check out guys like Rashad McCants, who has supposedly shown something.

More importantly I can't wait to see how KG is playing. Another season removed from the knee surgery I expect him to be much more dominant than last year.

Here are some quotes from KG on media day (Boston Herald):

“The summer was painful – very painful and very dark. Not enough time, like anything, but we’re back here and it’s good to be back. We’re ready to start. It’s good to have Doc (Rivers) back. It’s good to have Ray (Allen) back. It’s good to see guys healthy, the new additions to the team — it’s a good time”

“I think more mentally than anything last year was hard for me just because I knew I was playing through some difficult times, but I’m not the one to make excuses. I’m not the one to be out here complaining about stuff.”

“I have a lot more confidence in my leg, in my body I feel a lot better. I’m eager to start camp.”

Speaking of media day, Perk made a bold statement as well, but one I enjoyed hearing.

“I get tired of thinking about it all the time. If I would have played, we still could have had a chance to lose, but I doubt that. I think if I’d have played, we would have won for sure, by double figures. But that’s what happens. It happens like that so it’ll give us something else to motivate us for this season. You got to go out with a chip on your shoulder. I know I got one on mine.”

This is what I love about Perk. He speaks his mind and doesn't care what anyone thinks. I don't mean that in an arrogant way; it's just who he is. The fact that he has a chip on his shoulder should scare guys like Dwight Howard in the league. When he does come back later in the season, he'll be a force to be reckoned with.

Although there's still a month left until the regular season, the pre-season kicks off in nine days! Get ready Celtics fans!

Celts are really deep this year- will be the deepest team in the league when Perkins returns. Of course they were deeper than the Flakers last year too.

Where's the Trivia?? Did they end? I'm missing it haha.
