The Celtics have made the first cut of the season to pare their training camp roster down to 15. Oliver Lafayette became the first casualty of the overcrowded roster. Lafayette was signed to a non guaranteed contract on the last day of last season. With Nate Robinson, Avery Bradley, and Delonte West both likely to make the team, Lafayette became the odd man out. With it clear that there won't be a spot for him on the Celtics, they are cutting him before camp to give him a chance to possibly catch on with another team.
