Danny Ainge Pulls Off Move for the Ages

Fresh off the signing of Shaquille O'Neal, Danny Ainge has pulled off a move that would make even Red Auerbach jealous. Celtics Life has learned that Danny Ainge has traded two conditional 2nd round draft picks, Brian Scalabrine's post concussion headband, Eddie House's son Jaelen, and a coupon code for one free month of Netflix to Chevy Chase for his famous time traveling "Hot Tub Time Machine."

Let's break down the trade: First for Chevy Chase this deal makes little sense. It seems similarly one sided to the Chris Wallace giveaway trade of Pau Gasol to the Lakers. You'd think if Chase (or Wallace) had let other teams know that such a valuable commodity was available more could have been acquired. That said, we were surprised that Jaelen House's rights still belonged to the Celtics. Apparently in Donnie Walsh's rush to trade every future draft pick the Knicks will ever own to the Rockets in order to dump Jared Jeffries contract so that they can fail to sign Lebron James, he didn't demand Eddie's son be included in the House/Robinson deadline deal. Shrewd Danny, shrewd. What Chase wants with little House no one knows, but we're hoping its because he feels he has a great acting career ahead of him.

For the Celtics this deal is a no brainer. The Celtics can now put on the court the most dominant team ever assembled. A team that will easily sweep the Miami Three AmEgos (Who starred in the original Three Amigos again? Hmm...) and the rival Lakers for many playoffs to come. Reportedly, remaining free agents Allen Iverson and Tracy McGrady are desperately trying to join this new Celtics dynasty, but nothing is imminent yet.

Jermaine, KG, Ray, Paul, and Shaq are all scheduled to be taking a dip in Ainge's hot tub this weekend. The only question remaining is what year should they choose?
