Kendrick Perkins got a mention in this week’s Sports Illustrated, but it’s ink he could easily do without. That's an ego blow. Do you all think he's that slow? By the way, Big Z finished in first (last?), with Shaq, Yao, and Aaron Gray coming in 2nd through 4th respectively.
The weekly players’ poll sought the find out just who is the slowest player in the NBA from baseline to baseline.
Fortunately for the Celtics [team stats]’ center, he didn’t win this race either. But he did manage to cross the finish line in fifth place.
Confronted with the harsh results before scoring seven points in last night’s 113-99 win over the Denver Nuggets, Perkins replied with a hearty, “Oh, man.”
After the jump, video of the Rondo to Tony dunk from last night.

I wouldn't say Perk is exactly "fleet of foot." He tends to lumber.
He's like a gazelle compared to Kevin Love though.
I don't know about top 5 but he's top 10. It doesn't matter though, he doesn't need to be fast. He's prob top 5 slowest with the ball in his hands though. Love Perk!
And what about that Haddadi stiff on the Grizzles, he's like a slug compared to Perk
Okay so Perk isn't the fastest, I'm not going to argue with that... what he gives us in defense more than makes up for a lack of speed. Gotta love Perk. :)
