KG passes Larry Bird on NBA scoring list

On Monday, Celtics forward Kevin Garnett passed Larry Bird on the NBA's all-time scoring list. He had 19 points in the win against Washington and now has 21,792 points, one more than Bird tallied in his NBA career. Garnett is now number 24 on the all-time list, trailing Gary Payton at 23rd by only 21 points. KG has a shot at reaching 22nd place, which is currently held by Clyde Drexler (who scored 22,195 points), before the 2009-10 regular season ends.

Congratulations, KG. We are proud to call you our spiritual leader.
