Big Baby is Back!

One of the best gifts I received on Christmas was seeing the return of Glen "Big Baby" Davis in a Celtics uniform.  It's been awhile since then 2009 playoff star has been on the court. While I still think he's an idiot for breaking his thumb in a fight with this friend, it may have actually benefited the Celtics in the long run.

Boston has shown they can still be the best team in the league without him.  At the same time, his return gives the Celtics another rebounding and scoring presence inside.  Right now only Perk does the bulk of his work in the paint. Rasheed should be down there more, but is determined to make the game as hard as possible on himself.

With Davis and Marquis back in the lineup, the Celtics will have as deep a team as any in the East.  Also, Boston will be able to sit KG more for the playoffs.   With the added depth to the front line it will allow their big guys, especially Perk, to be more aggressive on defense as well as giving them yet another big man who can shoot the jumper. Plus, it's great seeing Perk and Big Baby on the court together.  I wonder how many times Perk has made Big Baby cry just by scowling at him.

Everything is really starting to come together right now in Beantown.  Let's hope the C's can sweep this West Coast road trip and close out the year with a bang.
