Glen Davis Needs Thumb Surgery (Out 6-8 weeks)

Globe:
Celtic president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said he "would not confirm or deny" circumstances surrounding the injury sustained by forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis, who will miss the first part of the regular season with a hand injury.
According to a league source, Davis has a broken thumb and will require surgery.
Davis, who missed practice this afternoon and did not travel with the team to Cleveland for tomorrow night's opener, was injured during a fight, according to a report by the Herald's Steve Bulpett. According to the report, Davis was injured defending himself in an altercation with a former teammate who was visiting from Louisiana and could be sidelined for an extended period of time.

Well this sucks. If Nocioni wasn't owed so much I'd say now might be a good time to see about bringing him in. So Davis is going to be out for an extended period (WEEI is saying 6-8 weeks) and so is Walker. Scal is unable to play and Tony is unable/Tony. Our depth now doesn't look so great as it did just a short while ago. Shelden Williams is now your 9th man and Lester Hudson is your 10th.

Update: David Aldridge  is saying that Baby might miss several months, if not the whole season.
