It truly is a travesty that DJ hasn't been inducted into the Hall of Fame. I have done several articles on this very thing. Bird said that DJ was the best player he ever played with and DJ was the catalyst for championships on two different teams. He deserves to be there and it is a real shame that the Hall didn't do the right thing before DJ passed away.

DJ, Ainge, Bird, McHale, Parish, the best starting five ever. I loved DJ's style, talent and confidence. The perfect PG for that Celtics team
DJ...my favorite all time Celtic. When he was on the floor, despite his illustrious teammates, my eyes were glued on him. He did all the little things so well...quietly impacted every game he was in. Never looked for the glory for himself.
