Marbury tweeting that he's ready to retire. When you spend the Summer acting crazy that tends to dissuade teams from signing you, but if an injury arises this year to a point guard in the NBA, don't be surprised if Steph gets a look. "Retirements" for athletes don't tend to be very permanent.

  1. Maybe he should of been shooting jumpers instead of smoking the green stuff on camera

  2. tb727 says:

It's tough to say if his game's dropped off that much or last season was an aberration because of the long layoff he had.

Anyways twitter and a camcorder were the worst things to happen to that guy.

  3. He did have that one game in the playoffs where he went off, but I agree... that man should not speak in front of a camera or use any modern technology

  4. tb727 says:

Indeed- he was stellar in that Game 5 vs Orlando. I kept waiting for that in other games but it never happened. No idea what happens to him now.

If the C's decide on a backup pg other than Lester Hudson, I wouldn't mind giving him another shot as opposed to Tyrone Lue, a name that keeps getting mentioned.

  5. Bohemian says:

He got lost with his internet show and stuff but I am not sure he's done with his NBA career

  6. ACF says:

At least he didn't turn out to be the team cancer that most people thought he would be. On the other hand, he didn't contribute a whole lot either. When he gets old, I am sure he will tell his grandchildren of the time he spent with the mighty Boston Celtics. Even if it was only for one season.

  7. Mike-Dub says:

The smoking the weed on camera put me over the edge. This summer he showed me that he obviously doesn't care about the game of basketball anymore. Quitefrankly I hope he never plays another game in the NBA.
